20. ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAMME

The Indian Ministry of Road Transport and Highways attributes the cause of crashes to carelessness or lack of road safety awareness. Educating all stakeholders, including traffic police, citizens, drivers, vehicle owners, etc. of road safety is thus crucial to save millions of lives and prevent injuries. It is very important to be aware that road traffic injuries remain an important public health problem. When road safety products are utilized correctly or efficiently, they can help save lives, prevent accidents and injuries, and keep a society functioning in the most optimal way. This organisation has conducted road safety awareness programme at different places of Imphal East in coordination with school. 565 students were attended in the programme. It is necessary for everyone to be aware of traffic signs and road rules. Traffic signs can give you important information that can ensure your safety and the safety of those around you and awareness of road rules can lower chances of accidents. The awareness was started from 9th July.

 

21. TRAINING CUM PRODUCTION OF MUSHROOM

It can help to reduce vulnerability to poverty and strengthens livelihoods through the generation of a fast yielding and nutritious source of food and a reliable source of income. As it does not require access to land, its cultivation is a viable and attractive for both rural and urban farmers. Action for Social Justice Organisation has conducted 45-days training cum production of Mushroom at Sangshabi Village, Imphal East District, Manipur from 24th to 26th May 2022. 40 youths were attended.

22. PROMOTION OF BUDHISM

Buddhism has a special role to play in the modern world because unlike many other religious traditions, Buddhism uniquely propounds the concept of independence which accords closely with the fundamental notions of modern science. Buddhism is one of the world's largest religions and originated 2,500 years ago in India. Buddhists believe that the human life is one of suffering, and that meditation, spiritual and physical labor, and good behavior are the ways to achieve enlightenment, or nirvana. Buddhism is an extensive and internally diverse tradition with two main branches. With 360 million followers, Buddhism is the fourth largest religion in the world. In Manipur also, many are converting their religious by way of their choice. Religious brings peace and need to bring peace and harmony in the society. Action for Social Justice Organisation also working for Bushism promotion in the interest of the budhish fraternity. The programme was conducted on 11th August 2022 at Kongba Kshetri Leikai.

 

23. AYUSH PROMOTION PROGRAMME

AYUSH is the acronym of the medical systems that are being practiced in India such as Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy. These systems are based on definite medical philosophies and represent a way of healthy living with established concepts on prevention of diseases and promotion of health. AYUSH can play an important role in realizing the dream of 'New India' by providing quality healthcare and medical care for its citizens. At present we are witnessing a highly receptive environment where the value of AYUSH systems in healthcare is widely recognized. In our State also, communities are not so much aware about ayush. For promotion of AYUSH.

 

24. SKILL TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR YOUTHS

Low skills perpetuate poverty and inequality. When done right, skills development can reduce un- and underemployment, increase productivity, and improve standards of living. Helping people develop and update their skills makes economic sense. Skill development enhances the proficiency of a person in any particular area. Skill enhances to build the professional network, better communication, time management and negotiation skills. Skills are something that can be acquired by learning. In everyday life, the development of life skills helps students to find new ways of thinking and problem solving. Recognise the impact of their actions and teaches them to take responsibility for what they do rather than blame others. Build confidence both in spoken skills and for group.
