Aromatic Medicinal Plants & Socio Economic Development Society (AMPSEDS)

      As in the operational guideline of MISSION ORGANIC VALUE CHAIN DEVELOPMENT FOR NORTH EASTERN REGION (A Sub-Mission under National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA)), being hired as Service Provider we have been giving various services for smooth handholding, Internal Control System management, documentation and organic certification through a Third Party System under NPOP. At the outset we took wide and far surveyed farmer individual as well as in groups of Chandel, Tengnoupal & Kakching Districts. Thorough measures were taken to find suitable farmers groups of neighbouring clusters of farmers where proximity to good heavy vehicles motorable road linkage criteria is made. It is providing hand holding supports and advisory services for organic farming on i) Ginger  & ii) Turmeric on 400, 183 & 317 hectares in three districts viz. Chandel, Tengnoupal & Kakching District. The database thus created finally results into formation of Farmer Interest Group (FIG) with accurate Global Positioning System (GPS) co-ordinates. 

Compliance to the operational guideline under MOVCDNER the FIG members were given many awareness trainings. Crop wise Cluster development and formation then registration of Farmers Producers’ Company (FPC) as also in line to SFAC objectives. In the course, we assist in opening of Bank Account for each farmer – FIG – Cluster of the Farmer Producer Company at the nearest Nationalized Bank of the area. In co-ordination with Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA) official’s hectic work for distribution of quality planting materials to each selected and registered farmers were systematically done. Various training programmes were conducted on standard organic cultivation, management and production practices. In line to the guideline, due organic certification process was followed contacting M/s OneCert International Pvt. Ltd. to the Third Party Organic Certification system. Consequently, we are able to certify 900 farmers having all register number given by APEDA tracenet.
